Dive Down
I wrote this song after hearing the story of David Shaw, a diver. He was with diving friends as they dove into an extremely dark and dangerous cave. One of the divers got caught, lost his air and died underwater- his body caught down in that cave. David Shaw decided to take this dangerous dive again to retrieve the body of his friend. He managed to untangle the body, but then he also lost air and died,floating to the top with the body in his arms.
A tragic story of sacrifcial love.This story touched me deeply as I felt a profound spiritual connection with it. God knows the darkness that is inside of me, but is willing to dive down and clean up what is dead to make me whole again.
